This paper attempts to study the inscriptions on the porcelains procduced by Changsha Kiln during the period from Tang to Five Dynasties in order to understand the literary style and the relations between these inscriptions and the poems and _x000D_ popular readings of Tang. _x000D_ Changsha Kiln had been famous as a porcelain kiln from Tang and Five Dynasties, and the related study on it started with the excavation of the kiln and tombs, and with the discovery of cultural relics. This kiln mainly produced porcelains for _x000D_ daily use, which were characterized by the calligraphically written inscriptions on their surfaces as a way of decorating products for successful marking. This renovation not only combined the thinking and life of the day but also led the fashion to decorate porcelains with verse, prose, and proverbs. There is no doubt that this _x000D_ had profound influence on the technique of Chinese porcelain decoration. In particular, these inscriptions fully reflect both the popularity of the verse and prose and the contents of folk literature.
