dc.description.abstract這篇論文旨在討論元儒郝經的學術核心-「有用之學」。_x000D_ 郝經是元初一位重要的思想家、政治家,歷代學者對其學術內涵的論述,各執一詞,正反評價不一。本文嘗試從郝經論著中最常出現的「有用之學」觀念出發,藉由形成背景與學術傾向兩方面的了解,進而掌握此「有用之學」的經世濟民觀念如何對郝經在學術辨正、言行處世、政治思維上產生積極的影響。本文認為,郝經在繼承傳統學術思想之後,積極盱衡時勢發展,在「有用之學」觀念的主導下,其學術傾向主要表現在三個範疇,分別是「講究實學」、「經史互參」、_x000D_ 「用夏變夷」。我們也相信,郝經學術思想的成績,以及在政治上的積極表現,都是透過這三個範疇的反省而來的,因此,郝經對傳統思想的繼承是有所取捨的,他在進退仕隱之間也是有所堅持的,而這些都是以「有用之學」做為第一考慮的。本文最後強調,當我們試圖對郝經做一公允的歷史評價,就應該體會其鼓吹「有用之學」觀念的用心,才能真正的從兩極化的評價中覓得另一個新的詮釋空間。

dc.description.translationabstractHau Ching was an important thinker and politician in the early Yuan Dynasty. Scholars have quite different thoughts about the discourse in his work. Some criticize it while others admire it. This essay tries to start with an exploration of the concept, “Useful Knowledge”, which is the most frequent term in Hau Ching’s work. Through_x000D_ a study of Hau Ching’s background and personal inclination, this essay attempts to illustrate how the idea of administering a social order for the welfare of the mob from applied philosophy played an active role in influencing Hau Ching’s thoughts, manners, and political attitudes. This essay argues that under the combined influence_x000D_ of traditional academic thoughts, social trends, “Useful Knowledge”, Hau Ching’s_x000D_ propensity for academy, can be described in three directions: exploring applied philosophy, referring to classic and historical works mutually, and acculturating the savages. The author believes that Hau Ching’s academic thoughts and political attitudes are the reflection of the aforementioned three categories. So, Hau Ching selected parts of traditional thoughts to learn. He had his insistence on serving the government according to his own will. These attitudes all were influenced by “Useful Knowledge”. This essay finally emphasizes that when we try to give a fair evaluation about Hau Ching’s contribution, we should make an effort to understand Hau Ching’s_x000D_ endeavor of providing “the Useful Knowledge”. In this way, we are able to find a new space of discussion for criticisms on Hau Ching’s work.
