技術、真理與人類存有之哲思： 從全景攝影技術思培根和海德格之工具技術觀

Abstract

技術的進步是人類探索真理的重要工具，但它是否也遮蔽了我們對真理和存有(Being)的認知？培根在《新工具》中強調技術作為認知方法的重要性，並提出四種假像理論，以幫助人類避免偏見和錯誤認知，然而這四種假像是否可以協助我們澄清並區分技術的工具性和技術的本質並讓我們得到真知？又，關於技術，海德格在《世界圖像的時代》和《技術的追問》中闡述技術是不同於技術的本質，他批判現代技術的本質在於「圖像化」，將現代世界技術簡化為可操作、可計算的資源促逼性工具。本文以全景攝影技術為例，來思索技術的進步是否能揭示真理和顯化其存有者之存有為真實存在？在全景攝影機和3D建模技術的應用中，我們能清晰地感受到工具性技術帶來的變革：世界被重新建構、模擬與操作，真實與虛假的界限被技術所模糊。正如海德格所言：技術進步既是我們理解世界的手段，也可能成為對真理的遮蔽。本文旨在探討培根的假像理論和海德格的技術批判，如何幫助我們反思全景攝影技術在揭示與遮蔽世界的雙重作用下，人類對真理與存有之真與虛的挑戰。

The progress of technology is an important tool for human beings to explore the truth, but does it also conceal our understanding of truth and Being? In The New Tools, Bacon emphasized the importance of technology as a cognitive method and proposed a theory of four illusions to help humans avoid bias and misperception. However, can these four illusions help us clarify and distinguish the instrumentality of technology from its essence and gain true knowledge? Regarding technology, Heidegger explained in The Age of the World Picture and The Question Concerning Technology that technology is different from its essence. He criticized the essence of modern technology as "visualization", simplifying modern world technology into an operational and calculable resource-driven tool. This article takes panoramic photography technology as an example to explore whether technological advancement can reveal the truth and let the very being of a being manifest as real existence? In the application of panoramic cameras and 3D modeling technology, we can clearly feel the changes brought about by instrumental technology: the world is reconstructed, simulated and operated, and the boundaries between reality and falsehood are blurred by technology. As Heidegger said: Technological progress is a means for us to understand the world, perhaps in the other hand is a means for us to conceal the truth as well. This article aims to explore how Bacon's theory of illusion and Heidegger's criticism of technology can help us reflect on the challenge posed by panoramic photography technology regard to the truth and falsehood of truth and being of existence under its dual role of revealing and concealing the world.
