dc.description.abstractTo solve the issue of uniform teaching materials format, several standard formats including IMS LD, ADL SCORM, and IMS QTI, etc. have been proposed by international organizations. Although these standards describe several aspects of e-Learning including teaching plan,learning content and test item, the lack of interoperability results in the teaching plan of e-Learning hard to realize. Therefore, in this paper we proposed an ontology based approach to integrate and extend these standards. An integrated reference framework is proposed to describe the teaching plan, learning content and test item. Finally, an e-Learning course design in historical empathy is proposed to evaluate the framework. The experimental results show that new framework can improve the sharing, reusing, and interoperability of learning resources and learning activities.
