dc.description.abstractThe channel assignment problem is to assign channels to the radio base stations in a PCS in order to get better system performance. In this paper, we design a genetic algorithm to assign channels and then cite an iterative algorithm to derive the system blocking probability as the evaluation function used in the genetic algorithm. The computational result show this approach can significantly reduce the system blocking probability.
