dc.description.abstractComputer chess games are very important in the field of artificial intelligence. There is no research results on Triangular Nim in higher dimensions Since Professor Shun-Chin Hsu solved 7 layer triangular Nim in NCS 1985. In this paper, we find some skills for improving the performance of our programs. We can save the sub-problem results and reuse these results for solving 8 layer Triangular Nim. A memory management scheme is also proposed to reduce the memory requirements which can avoid the virtual memory swapping. A personal computer equipped with AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ 2.1GHz CPU and 8 GBytes RAM is utilized to conduct our experiments. Thus, it spends 14.5 hours and gets the results that two kinds of 8 layer Triangular Nim are a first-player win.
