dc.description.abstract	本論文以唐代詩僧王梵志為研究範圍，旨在考察其寓言詩之表述方式與意蘊，主要分從二方面立論，一是從敘述策略觀察，探究王梵志以詩歌負載白話俚俗之內容，使原本為士階層抒情言志的詩歌向庶民宣導的通俗詩歌流動的軌跡，其表述策略有用語、設譬、取象方式之運用；二是從佛教義理觀察，論其從「哲學佛理」向「世俗佛理」流動的脈絡，示現在「俗諦」之闡述有：體悟世情，安頓生命、去除我執，了悟死生之教義；「真諦」之闡述有：以空立義，滅絕諸相、_x000D_ 以夢為喻，汰除物象、佛性本有，無須外求等教義之闡發。復次，論王梵志寓言詩之美感效能，分從作者表意、詩歌示意、讀者釋義三面向論述，最後再歸結其意義所在。

dc.description.translationabstract	This paper focuses on the poetry by Wang Fanze, a poet-monk of Tang Dynasty. Its purpose is to explore the narrative strategy and meaning of Wang's allegorical poems. Consisting of two main aspects, my exploration begins with an investigation into the narrative strategy of Wang Fanze's poems, replete with vernacular slangs and_x000D_ implications of social mores. With its content carrying traces of flowing from lyrical and didactic poetry by the caste of intellectuals to popular poetry for propaganda to the general public, Wang's poems make use of such narrative strategies as diction, trope, and imagery. In the second aspect of my investigation, I analyze Wang's poems from the Buddhist doctrine and principle, centering on the contexts in which Wang's poems move from philosophical Buddhism to secular Buddhism. Elaborations about_x000D_ "secular wisdom" include the doctrines of understanding worldly affairs, of living a_x000D_ life of peace, of removing the ego, and comprehending life and death. Elaborations_x000D_ about "truth" (paramãrtha) include the doctrines of establishing righteousness by emptying one's mind and eliminating all phenomena, of using dreams as metaphor to remove physical images, and of the innateness of Buddhahood. Subsequently, I touch upon the aesthetic effects of Wang Fanze's allegorical poems, approached from the dimensions of the author, the text (the poems), and the reader. Finally I sum up the principal ideas of the paper.
